The French Revolution Of The Middle Ages Era Essay

The French Kingdom in Middle Ages era was ruled by the arbitrary monarch. Besides the king, clergy, which is the officials of the church and nobility, which is the group of aristocrats has supreme power than the society. In the way it ran, there were many problems in the social and economic section, such as poverty and taxation issues. Thus, French Revolution is one of the turning points of French public life. It popular with the slogan â€Å"liberty, legality and fraternity† that brings French to be a new revolutionary country. While many people believe that French Revolution is the effect of Enlightenment ideas emergence, I will argue that this revolution was an outcome of the social and economics disarray because of distortion of government regulation. To begin with, the dynamical social and economic conditions that always change under any circumstances immediately affect French Revolution. According to Adcock (2014, p. 23), ordinary citizens were directly concerned about society. In other words, society who usually known as Third Estate gave so much attention towards social and economic condition to achieve a better life. This statement was also legitimized by â€Å"[w]e wish to substitute in our country †¦ all the virtues and miracles of the republic for all the vices and absurdities of the monarchy† (Robespierre Republic ex. 1). As in 1789, France economy laid on peasants and artisans (Soboul 1974, p. 27).
